Joy Sorensen Navarre is the president and founder of Navigate LLC. A national expert in student loan management, she consults with physicians and health systems across the country.
Joy lives by a powerful core belief: you find your purpose where the world’s greatest need and your greatest joy meet. This is why she built Navigate. She loves doing work that helps everyone—physicians, health systems, and patients.
She’s always flipping the script and spends her free time fishing for panfish with a six-pound test line on an ultra-light pole.
Karisa Wilson, is our Director of Business Development. She helps healthcare organizations leverage student loan solutions to recruit and hire physicians faster, using innovative tools designed to attract top talent.
Karisa’s home is filled with gardens, including her kids’ favorite—a backyard “sunflower house.” Neighborhood kids and parents are frequent visitors, drawn to her energy and creativity. An adventurer at heart, Karisa brings positivity and steady calm to everything she does, inspiring those around her.
Mohit Chopra is the Operations Coordinator for Navigate Student Loans. With a strong background in the financial industry, he brings extensive knowledge and expertise in managing complex operations and ensuring seamless processes. In Mohit’s role as Operations Coordinator, he oversees day-to-day operations, coordinates with internal teams, and implements strategies to optimize performance and enhance customer satisfaction.
Andrew Newman is our Senior Student Loan Guide. He helps physicians better understand the next steps for their loans. He loves math and spreadsheets, and physicians appreciate his supportive, coach-like style.
With a background in both the sciences and the arts, Andrew is an avid soccer lover, part-time amateur tennis player, comedian, and travel enthusiast. When not helping with student loans, he can often be found debating the merits of various soccer subjects on a tennis court in a newly discovered location.
Vadim Lender is one of our Student Loan Guides. He helps clients understand loan forgiveness programs, income-driven repayment plans, and maximizing benefits through loan consolidation and refinancing. He is committed to empowering borrowers with the knowledge and tools needed to make informed decisions about their student loan debt.
When he’s not working on student loan plans, Vadim can be found relaxing near the lake with his family, including their energetic Golden Retriever, Bailey.
Rosario Chacón is one of our Student Loan Guides. She is a fiduciary (CFP®), a Financial Behavior Specialist (FBS®), a Student Loan Planner (CSLP®), and an Enrolled Agent (IRS). Rosario believes in making an impact in our communities. She guides physicians who have prepared for years to improve the health-being of their own communities, through their student loan repayment planning.
Rosario lives in the Bay Area, in California, which gives her plenty of opportunity to try all kinds of cuisine flavors. To compensate for the calories, she climbs hills and enjoys salsa dancing with friends.
Cara Martner is our Outrider she works in the space ahead of the Navigate team (time-wise) to clear the way and see what is coming next. Cara specializes in the behind the scenes work that keeps Navigate’s systems and processes running smoothly. She’s friendly, she’s fast, and she’s fired up about helping physicians throughout every step of their work with Navigate to deliver an exceptional experience.
Cara is truly multi-talented, both in and out of the office. As a lifelong musician, she went on to study music business and become part of the Blue Ox Music Festival team in her time away from Navigate. When she’s not creating reports, organizing projects, and analyzing data, Cara enjoys exploring her new neighborhood in Minneapolis with her boyfriend Mac and seeing live music with friends.
Margaret Stockton is our “Flow Manager”. She serves as Navigate’s scheduling specialist and administrative assistant. As the welcoming committee for anyone contacting Navigate for the first time, she is commited to ensuring physicians make the connections they need to receive the assistance Navigate offers. She provides friendly and prompt responses to your requests.
Margaret leads a double life. When she is not assisting you, she offers her services as a professional resume writer helping others reveal their best selves on paper. But, it is not “all work and no play”, she discovered ballroom dancing and happily dedicated the last 7 years dancing 8-10 hours a week learning to trip the light fantastic. She especially loves Waltz and Tango, but she has some sassy West Coast Swing moves too!
