Summer is nearly here, which could have you thinking about love, but something tells me it’s not about how much you love your student loans or your servicer. Maybe you’re remembering a favorite vacation with your beloved, or a summer fling from when you were younger. Maybe there were moonlit walks on the beach, or smiles exchanged over ice cream while the sun beamed above. But summer is just a brief distraction, and we have to bid farewell to new friends and new romances. Some may try to maintain their relationships over long-distance, but a phone call just isn’t the same. 

Student Loans, from Bad to Worse on Hold

How we wish we could bid farewell to our student loan servicers! Being in a relationship with them is like having your heart broken over and over again, but they just won’t let you go. We recently mentioned being stuck on the phone with a loan servicer, and I’m sure you can empathize with how excruciating it can be! Not only are you frequently met with misinformation, disinformation, or just plain ignorance, you have to endure minute after minute of tortuous hold music! Whether it’s dreaded crackly oboe (looking at you, MOHELA), or some more familiar tune, it’s never uplifting. Some of our favorite worst offenders include:
